Our policy focus is simple: Those closest to the problem are closest to the solution.
Frontline communities — including communities of color, Black folks, Indigenous peoples, immigrants, refugees, and low-income folks of all backgrounds — must be centered and leading the policy change that creates a sustainable, thriving Washington for all.
We engage with public officials and advocate for change at the legislative, county, and city levels of government.
Economic Justice
People over profit. We must tax corporations and the ultra-rich. We demand dignity for all workers — all labor is skilled labor and must be paid fairly.
Housing Justice
“The rent is too damn high” is a rallying cry that rings true in Southwest Washington. We must ensure affordable, quality housing is the minimum — not the goal.
Racial & Social Justice
Acknowledge and repair historic harm while protecting future generations’ civil rights and liberties.
Environmental Justice
Climate change is real, and its harms are not shared equally. We recognize the transition to clean energy is already underway, and we call for intention and accountability to dismantle patterns of harm and exclusion.
